INSEP was founded in 1975 as the National Institute of Sport and Physical Education. In 2009, it changed its name to the National Institute of Sport, Expertise, and Performance. Over the past 30 years, the center has trained champions such as Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Tony Estanguet, and Marie-José Perec, and also trains coaches and senior sports executives.
Located next to the Château de Vincennes and the Cartoucherie in Paris, INSEP is a public, cultural and professional establishment, managed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
This center provides training for top-level athletes and also offers numerous training courses and diplomas to ensure the future reintegration of athletes.
INSEP has numerous sports facilities, including an Olympic-sized swimming pool and outdoor fields, available to athletes to prepare for their competitions around the world.
After its renovation in 2009, INSEP, which includes a boarding school for minors and a boarding school for adults, offers a very comfortable living environment. (bedroom for athletes, classroom, infirmary, laundry service, etc.)
